Botox, Dysport And Xeomin
What are nueromodulators?
Botox ®️, Dysport ™️ and Xeomin ®️ are Health Canada approved brands of medications that fall under the drug class neurotoxins. They are used for various medical and cosmetic purposes. In the cosmetic field, neuromodulators are injected into facial muscles to temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by relaxing the muscles. It’s a popular treatment for smoothing out facial wrinkles, particularly in the forehead and around the eyes. In medicine, neuromodulators are used to treat various conditions, including jaw clenching and grinding (bruxism), muscle spasms, chronic migraines, and excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis).
What is the difference?
Botox ®️, Dysport ™️ and Xeomin ®️ all have the same active ingredients, botulitoxin A, but have different characteristics and “personalities”. During your consultation, the nurse injector will discuss the various differences and determine which is best for your optimal results.
When is the best time to start treatment?
With age, fine lines and wrinkles appear on the face, around the eyes, and on the forehead. At first, they appear only when we make facial expressions such as an angry face, laugh or frown. Even when our faces are relaxed, these lines become more evident and often get deeper and more permanent with age. Using neuromodulators, we relax the muscles causing the movement and creasing of the skin resulting in a smoother, younger-looking complexion for both men and women. In short, the best time to start is when you are ready, whether it’s for preventative purposes or for treatment of dynamic lines.
How often should I come for treatment?
For optimal results, treatment is recommended every 3-4 months. Follow ups are done 2 weeks after treatment, in the event that a touch up is needed.
NOTE: if you have an event coming up, book your appointment 1 month before the event as it takes 2 weeks for the medication to settle and we want you to look your best.

Dermal Fillers
How does our face age?
As part of the normal aging process, we lose volume in our faces in areas like our cheeks, teartroughs and along our jawline. After the age of 30, we breakdown more bone than we rebuild. As a result, the bone around our orbital rims becoming larger, our nose and chin recedes changing the contour of our face. Our skin begins to gradually sag making our cheeks look flatter, our jawline unstructured with visible jowels, our nasolabial folds get deeper and our lips become thin and wrinkly.
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid (HA) a substance naturally found in our body and is a key element involved in skin moisture as it attracts water molecules. The injection of HA under the the skin in strategic places such as the cheeks, nasolabial folds, temples, chins, jawlines and lips help to restore volume and hydration. This yields a more youthful appearance and glow.
Most fillers are pre-mixed with Lidocaine, an anesthetic agent, which helps to make the procedure more comfortable for you. If you have an allergy to Lidocaine, it is important to inform us so we can ensure we are using a Lidocaine-free dermal filler.
Which dermal fillers?
At Jolie Medical Aesthetics, we offer only Health Canada approved premium hyaluronic acid dermal fillers with a full spectrum of products such as Revanesse, Restylane and Saypha (Princess). How often should I come for treatment?
HA dermal fillers are popularly used as they yield immediate results. They are also dissolvable. Most hyaluronic acid dermal fillers last 6-12 months therefore, treatment is recommended every 6-12 months, depending on your aesthetic goals.
NOTE: if you have an event coming up, book your appointment 1 month before the event as it can take 2 weeks for the dermal filler to settle in, for any bruising and swelling to resolve and we want you to look your best.

Dissolving Dermal Filler
Dermal fillers have become a popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment, but what if you’re not happy with the results or experience complications? Fortunately, there is a solution: filler dissolution.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers can and sometimes should be dissolved. If you no longer feel that the HA dermal filler looks that way you want it to look or you are looking for a fresh start, we are here to help you achieve your aesthetic goals. Dermal filler dissolving is typically performed using hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid fillers. This enzyme can be injected into the treated area to effectively dissolve the filler. Results are usually visible within a few days, and the process is generally safe and reversible. It can take several dissolving sessions, spaced 2 weeks apart to dissolve filler.
It’s important to book a consultation to discuss your concerns and determine if filler dissolution is the right option for you. Remember that non-hyaluronic acid fillers may require different methods for removal.
Always choose a skilled practitioner and prioritize safety when considering dermal filler and any other cosmetic injectable treatments and their potential reversal.

Collagen Stimulators
Have you ever wondered how some people maintain youthful-looking skin as they age? Well, one secret might be collagen stimulators. At Jolie Medical Aesthetics, we offer Radiesse®️and Sculptra®️ treatments which are clinically proved collagen stimulation injectables. Collagen stimulators encourage the natural production of collagen in the skin, leading to improved skin texture, firmness, and reduced wrinkles over time.

Radiesse
What is Radiesse®️ and what does it do?
Radiesse®️ is a dermal filler made from calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres. These tiny particles are suspended in a gel and injected into the skin to add volume and stimulate collagen production. Radiesse®️ works by plumping up the skin, filling in wrinkles and lines. It can also be used to add volume to areas like the cheeks, the neck and the back of the hands, making them appear more youthful.
How Does It Work?
When Radiesse®️ is injected, it immediately adds volume. Over time, it also stimulates your body to produce new collagen, a protein that gives your skin its firmness and elasticity. This means the effects get better over time and can last for a year or more.
The Procedure, Results and Recovery
A healthcare provider, nurse, will inject Radiesse®️ into the target areas. You might experience some redness, swelling, or bruising after the procedure, but these effects typically subside within a few days. The results are seen immediately and improve over time as your body produces more new collagen.
$700 per syringe

Sculptra
– The Non-Surgical Secret to Youthful Skin
What is Sculptra®️ and How Does it Work?
Sculptra is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment that focuses on restoring your skin’s natural fullness and firmness. It’s commonly used to address signs of aging, such as wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin.
Sculptra works by stimulating your body’s own collagen production. Collagen is a protein that gives your skin its strength and elasticity. As we age, collagen production decreases, leading to wrinkles and skin laxity. Sculptra contains a biocompatible material called poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which is injected into the skin. PLLA helps your body create fresh collagen, gradually restoring volume and improving skin texture.
The Treatment Process, Recovery and Results Sculptra®️ is injected into the targeted areas of your face, such as cheeks and temples, using a fine needle and cannula. You may need multiple sessions, spaced 8 weeks apart, to achieve the desired results.
There may be some swelling, redness, or bruising after the procedure, but it typically subsides in a few days.
Sculptra’s ®️ results are not immediate. It takes time for your body to produce new collagen. Over several weeks to months, you’ll notice a gradual improvement in skin texture and fullness.
Benefits of Sculptra®️
– Natural-looking results
– No surgery required
– Long-lasting effects (up to two years)
– Minimal downtime
– Suitable for various skin types
$800 per vial
NOTE for Collagen Stimulators:
Maintenance sessions may be required to sustain the results. It’s important to consult with a qualified health care practitioner to determine if you’re a good candidate for the treatment as there are counter indications. As an example, patients with severe allergies manifested by a history of anaphylaxis, or history or presence of multiple severe allergies and those immunocompromised are not candidates.
B12 Shots

Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that plays a crucial role in various bodily functions, including the production of red blood cells, DNA synthesis, and the proper functioning of the nervous system. It is naturally found in animal products like meat, fish, and dairy, but some individuals may have a deficiency due to conditions such as pernicious anemia, gastrointestinal disorders, or a vegan or vegetarian diet.
The other components of MIC shots, methionine, inositol, and choline, are all important for metabolizing fats and helping to remove excess fat from the liver. Methionine is an essential amino acid that aids in the breakdown of fats and prevents the buildup of fatty deposits. Inositol, a B-vitamin-like compound, assists in the metabolism of fats and helps regulate blood sugar levels. Choline is essential for the transportation and metabolism of fats and helps prevent the accumulation of fat in the liver.
When combined, these components in B12 MIC shots are believed to enhance the metabolism of fats and promote weight loss. They are thought to help boost energy levels, improve overall liver function, and aid in the removal of toxins from the body.
B12 MIC shots are typically administered in healthcare provider’s offices and involve a series of injections over a period of time. The frequency and duration of the injections may vary depending on the individual’s needs and goals. It is important to note that B12 MIC shots should always be administered by a qualified healthcare professional.
